I'll start.  My name is Meg Murray, and I've been teaching at East Side since 2001--so this is my FOURTEENTH YEAR!  I grew up in many different places, because my dad was in the Air Force.  We moved about 16 times!  I love to travel and explore new places and new cultures.  My favorite trips have been to Italy, Switzerland, and India.

My life changed pretty drastically last December--I had a baby!  Charlotte (Charlie) was born on December 29th, and she has quickly become one of my favorite people EVER!  My wife and I love being moms.

I'm excited to teach your class this year.  I'm eager to get to know all of you, and listen to your opinions and ideas on different texts and topics.  I believe that every one of you has something original and intelligent to add to this world.  I believe that one of our class missions is to push each other to be our best selves through respect, empathy, humility, and kindness.  Our theme this year is: 

WHAT WILL YOUR VERSE BE?  

We will ask ourselves this question, and we will analyze authors and characters through this question.
